We provide specialized in-home pet care to families in Reston and Herndon, Virginia. "Specialized care" means we understand that no two pets are the same. We can fulfill any pet's need from weekday dog walking and training to behavioral consulting for cats. We also provide care for small animals and birds, including chickens. Our promise is personalized care so that your pets are as comfortable as possible, just as we would for our own.

Pet Quirk llc is a licensed and insured pet care business in Fairfax County, VA, owned and operated by Jen Sadrak since 2014. Jen is Red Cross Cat & Dog First Aid Certified and a member of the National Association of Professional Pet Sitters. Training and behavioral consulting are provided by Jen.

ABOUT THE OWNER
The first visit to the aquarium dubbed me a future marine biologist. A trip to the zoo made meant I would become a zoologist. Somehow I still found my way into an animal care career.
While volunteering for a rescue in 2013 I quickly became the go-to person for handling fearful cats. I've always wanted to volunteer but it didn't take long for me to look for more ways to help pets. There is no better way to learn about animal behavior than getting to know more animals, so I started pet sitting.
After meeting dozens of wonderful pets that had some...er, quirks, I knew my dog walking service would always practice proper loose leash techniques to promote a calm and obedient environment. Resolving undesired behavior leads to a calmer pet and a happier family. One of the best parts of this business is the peace of mind I bring to humans.
SERVICES AND FEES
DOG WALKING
We practice calm and assertive behavior during all visits and follow loose leash walking and basic skill training. Weekday visits are 30 minutes and take place between 10am-4pm. Sixty minute visits are currently available during this time.
Weekday Walks: $18 + $2 per additional pet
60 min: $36.00
VACATION PET SITTING
Services are available full-time and often on short notice. We can provide basic medical care, overnight visits, runs and group walks (with appropriate companions only). Typical home care such as collecting mail are included. Overnight visits include three walks.
Weekends: $20 + $2/ additional pet
Govt Holidays: +$5 per visit
Medication: $2
DOG TRAINING
You will learn techniques to practice every day. The goal is to teach humans to be calm and assertive leaders. Items covered include settling nervous behavior, preventing leash pulling, conquering insecurities and providing proper stimulation.

CAT BEHAVIOR CONSULTING
Understanding why your cat is acting out or not interested in socializing is the first step to improve household harmony. We'll discuss techniques and tools to make your home a comfortable environment for cats and their humans together.
Visits are customized because all households are different.
